In Valencia, they’re traditionally enjoyed in the form of horchata valenciana: a creamy, refreshing beverage of tigernut milk.
That’s where our founder, Andrea, first fell in love — as a student, she discovered horchata through her host family and was instantly hooked.fam
After learning from local horchatería owners, food scientists, and family-run tigernut farms and suppliers, she began experimenting in her own kitchen.
One batch turned into another, and soon, Tigernola was born. Inspiration turned to intention—passion matured into purpose.
Valencia Moon began as an idea in San Diego, took roots in Somerville, and became a love letter to Andrea's beloved Valencia. A tribute to her host mother, to her mentors at Vachata, La Torrentina, L'Obrador de Bou, to her soul city.
